In February 2016 the specialists of Research Centre “Analytic” have put GAS “Granat”, designed for analysis of circulation gases, into operation at “OJSC “Evraz NTMK”. One system is able to control up to eight sampling points. Quadrupole mass spectrometer was used as the analyzer in the given system.

September 28, 2015 Resolution № 1029 “Approval of the criteria for classifying objects that have a negative impact on the environment, to the objects I, II, III and IV categories” was signed by the Russian Federation Government.

This resolution complements the federal law from 21.07.2014 № 219-FZ “Amendments to the Federal Law” On Environmental Protection” and legislative acts of the Russian Federation, which came into force on 1 January 2015 (except for certain provisions).

The quadrupole mass spectrometer has a number of important advantages which are: easy maintenance, high reliability (electronic units are manufactured in the form of a single module), no secondary electron multiplier, as well as high stability calibrations. Quadrupole mass spectrometer is unified for the use of standardized capillary inlet valve that improves the stability and reliability of the system.
